Palm Trees

You can make a difference in our neighborhoods.

Here’s a brief list of what our committee has discussed so far:

  • Investigating why a promising alternative route detailed in SDG&E’s initial proposal to the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) disappeared from consideration in the final document

  • Drafting a formal response to the CPUC to use when they issue a decision on SDG&E’s proposal (it is looking likely the CPUC will approve SDG&E’s proposal)

  • Impact on aesthetics and property values

  • Working with the San Marcos city planners

  • Contacting and garnering support from our Assemblyman, Mayor, etc.…

  • Contacting other HOAs impacted by this project

  • Effect of electromagnetic fields

  • Impact on six indigenous species listed in SDG&E’s application

  • Positive outcome in 2016 when Chino Hills fought and won after public outcry,  resulted in powerlines placed underground

PLEASE JOIN US TODAY!! OUR GOAL IS TO EITHER SHOW THIS PROJECT IS NOT NECESSARY OR FIND AN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE ERECTING NEW POWERLINE POLES. THIS MEANS EITHER UNDERGROUNDING THE NEW TRANSMISSION LINE OR USING THE EXISTING POLES TO ACCOMMODATE THE NEW CIRCUIT

CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW TO SEE AN EXAMPLE OF A NEARBY COMMUNITY THAT SUCCESSFULLY HAD TRANSMISSION LINES LIKE OURS BURIED.
